I select Transparent in my motion project, and the window goes transparent with my particle effect previewing.

I export to a QT, then import the file into FCP.

Inside FCP it has the full black background and covers up the whole screen with the particle effect playing.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Vinnie

You can drag the Motion Project File into FCP and it will keep it transparent. I you want to Export it out Set It to QuickTime’s Animation codec. Make sure it is set to Millions Color +. The plus stands for the transparency you want. Best of luck and hope this helps.

Don’t export it from Motion. Just save the project file in Motion. Then import the motion file (.motn) in Final Cut and render it there.

That’s awesome. Thanks to both of you two. I’m not in the office at the moment, but I’ll give it a try when I get back in.

    Thanks again!
