• Apple Motion

  No audio import in motion 4

  hi everyone,

  i cant import any audio into motion 4. (tried all possible formats)

  when i click on a audiofile in the browser it plays, but when i click import or drag it into canvas: nothing.

  the audio editor in the timeline only shows an empty audiofile.

  i removed and re installed quicktime and motion but nothing changed.

  hope everyone can help me.

  Sorry, cannot duplicate your situation. I just successfully imported .wav, mp3 and m4a audio files. They import, play, and appear as expected in the audio sections and audio editor.

  I imported by using the + sign in the media tab and navigating to the files. I also simply dragged the files into the media tab.

  I have no idea why your system is not responding as it should but I can tell you reinstalling Apple software rarely solves anything because the software is hardly ever the problem.

  Solved:

  moved all content of /Library/Quicktime into a folder on desktop, restarted and now it works.

  funny thing….
