MOTION always seizing up, unresponsive, controls dont work
hi, MOTION is driving me totally insane. I have a nice fast 8 core, but while motion runs fine on my older ppc g5 dual, on the 8-core it runs terribly – iy always stops working when you do things. Like there is a big pause – anything up to 20 seconds or more – where the machine just will not respond – the project might be playing, and no transport functions work, all buttons don’t respond, all menu’s don’t respond – in effect the whole program locks up and you must wait before it becomes free – as if memory is not organized properly
i have 6GB memory
it’s not fit for purpose basically as it performs now, and is driving me nuts – i even have a fast ATI HD3870 card as well.
anyone know a fix? i cannot find this problem in any searches of google
i have trashed preferences and then it works for a while, but you cant get much work done before it starts all over again, and then you must wait until MOTION decides to respond, save, close and re-open – this is not professional – what can i do to get some damned work done?
