  Motion Crashing – Video Codec?

  Hello!

  I installed a Boris plug-in earlier in the week that completely destabilized Motion (though the plug-in was for FCP)… It kept crashing, so I used FCS Remover to take the entire suite off my computer, and have reinstalled Final Cut Studio 2. Motion works just fine now, except for when I try to select video clips I’ve previously captured through P2 transfer. Also, in my Finder window, these clips are all white, unable to be looked at… but they do open in Quicktime Pro, and work just fine in Final Cut.

  It looks to me that there’s some sort of disparity between the codec that Motion is looking for in video clips and what they actually have. All previously captured or output SD material works… It’s just the 720p DVCPro HD clips brought in through P2 that don’t work and that crash Motion immediately.

  Any thoughts? Is there something I can download? All programs are updated.

  HMMMM…. I uninstalled Flip4Mac and it works now… Very strange. I suppose I’ll try to reinstall it, unless there’s another safe way for WMVs to be viewed on a Mac?

  Anyone? Thoughts?
