  I can’t get my FCP to update motion changes

  I’ve been working on two different Macs. The first one had Boris effects, now I’m on a mac without boris. When I started on the first MAC, inside of motion I used a boris effect that I brought over to my FCP timeline. Now that I’ve transferred the project on my second Mac I can’t access the same effects. So I’m getting the obvious RED “unable to load effect” screen. On the second mac I went into motion took off the boris effect, did a save went back to final cut and it keeps giving me the same red screen. How do I let my FCP know the motion project has been updated without recreating the effect

  Try using the reconnect media option.
