Photo Flashes Make Tracking A Mess
Hi – Posted this in the Shake forum but got no responses. Having the same problem with Motion so I figure I’d try here. I shoot weddings and of course, there are still shooters popping off flashes. When I track the shot, the flashes throw Motion into a tailspin. Is there a trick? Thanks for any help.

Set the look ahead frame rate. Then hold down the command key, click the tracker in the Canvas and drag the direction the reference pattern is moving in the clip. As you Command-drag the track point, an inset displays a magnified view of the frame specified in the Look Ahead Frames parameter. When the look-ahead tracker is positioned on the reference pattern, release the mouse button. Hope this helps.
