Motion works great except for the project I’m currently working on. Its starting to chug like crazy so I can’t get a idea for how it looks in real time. Any work around?

The fact that Motion can show you results in real time is amazing. When you start doing more complicated stuff it can become to much for any computer. The easiest work around is to RAM Preview your project when you reach that point. Go up to Mark – RAM Preview and select an option. Hope this helps.

No problem, happy to help. You’ll have to let me know how the project turned out.

You can also try turning off your preview thumbnails in the layers tab, and turning off layers you don’t need to see.

Also, If you notice actions starting to get jumpy or choppy, clear your ram preview. This has helped me in deep projects keep the user interface snappier when things slow down.
