  • help! apparent interlace problem with imported video

I want to incorporate a FCP sequence in a graphic created in Motion. I am in PAL land and ingest DIGIBETA through the ADA I/O – SDI. Currently I am exporting a self contained movie of the FCP sequence using “current settings” (8 bit uncompressed, field dominance upper). Over in Motion I create the graphic and export using the same settings (8 bit upper field first) and place it in my FCP timeline. The problem is the video looks like it has an interlace problem and I can’t find where I may be missing a setting. My FCP and Motion project seetings seem to be in place. Thanks anybody!

Dual 2.7 GHz G5, 4GB RAM, ATI Radeon 9650, Xserve RAID, AJA IO, 2 20″ Cinema Display, FCP Studio 2 (6.02), OS X10.4.11
