  Hi Tom, I’m thinking it’s Particular. One of the smokey/watery effects from https://people.redgiantsoftware.com/ should be a good start. To get a slightly more hard-edged result as per the video, you can reduce the feathering on the built-in particle type. Another method to achieving a hard-edged result is to apply a wee bit of blur (to spread out the edges) followed by either Matte Choker or Simple Choker to choke and harden the edges.

  Sorry Vishesh, I dont have the link anymore. But I think the particle sweeps read quite clearly on my machine. I am surprised you feel that they are vague.

  Not much inspiration at the Red People site. Will have to think of taking another approach to recreating these effects.

  There was some problem with my browser. Now its clear.

  I feel that Trapcode Particular is used for this effect.

  Also, If you apply CC Vector Blur it may give you results similar to this video.

  Actually, I got the effect and cool variations of it just using Particular. The key was using the variables in the “Air” area.
