Hi all can anyone advise me on a problem I am having in Motion.

When I edit with moving graphics, especially when I work with pans across still images, they look fine in Motion but as soon as I bring them into Final Cut Pro they start to play in a slightly stuttering way and the image strobes on its edges.

Im sure its just something in my settings in motion or a discrepency between the settings in motion and FCP but I would like to be able to get a smoother crisper image as it is very noticable at the moment.

I am using Motion 3, FCP 6, and exporting through compressor into DVD best quality 90 mins-MPEG 2, and burning in DVD studio pro 4.

    Thanks for your help.

    Ryan.

It’s usually as simple as you are viewing an interlaced video clip on a progressive display. What does the DVD look like if you watch it on an interlaced display like a tv set?

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
