Does anyone else experience this? Is it something I’m not doing correctly?

Sending portions of a timeline from Final Cut to Motion and back, color levels are changing somewhere in the process. I’m working in a 720p 23.98 timeline at DVCPRO HD 720p60 codec, and always exporting from FCP with Current Settings (I always export self-contained Quicktimes. I’ve had problems with ref movies, and with bringing .motn projects into Final Cut) When I export from Motion I’ve tried Lossless + Alpha and DVCPRO HD 720p 24. Everything seems to be getting brighter in Final Cut, with one exception. I created a graphic in Motion with some transparency, and exported Lossless + Alpha. It comes into Final Cut with the semi-transparent areas DARKER.

    Any clues?

Yup. That’s the way it works. I see this same kind of color shift when rendering from AE, btw, but not from Shake.
