Video inside text/titles
I see a lot of information online about putting video inside text for Photoshop, After Effects and Sony Vegas, but I haven’t found anything that helps me to put video inside text in Apple Motion 3. Any clues?
On another note – is Zaxwerks all it’s cracked up to be, or can Motion do most of what ZW can do?

place your text above the footage then in properties set the blend mode to stencil luma.

As a more flexible alternative to using blend modes, just use the text as an Image Mask for any footage. Here’s a tutorial that demonstrates how: Image Masks: Reflection

YES – that’s what I needed to see. What I had attempted to do was create a mask from the letters I typed in, but I was having trouble making that happen. Thanks for the tip!
