    With the same understanding that you run FCP from one drive, and have a dedicated drive (or drives) for your media; would there be any gain in performance to move all the motion content to a media drive (in my case an internal 3 drive raid on my mac pro)?

    I would say it depends on what assets you’re using. If you’re just using so pictures and DV video, it probably wouldn’t buy you a whole lot unless you’re using a lot of pictures and videos.

    If you’re using uncompressed video, then definitely put it on the raid.

    In any point, it wouldn’t hurt to always put it on the raid. (just be sure you have a backup)
