  Exporting from Motion 3

  What’s the best way to export a quicktime movie from a standard definition Motion project with anamorphic aspect ratio, while preserving the alpha channel?

  Every time a export a quicktime movie it preserves my alpha channel and the quality is great but it exports 4:3 and squishes my image.

  I am not sure about the correct settings but a work around would be to import the footage into FCP after render and on the item properties of the clip check the anamorphic box.

  Thanks this helped. I also rendered out a quicktime file of my project from motion and changed the settings to 16:9 so that FCP would recognize it that way.
