  exporting alpha-embedded movie files from Motion?

  i’ve heard talk of this to speed up playback and rendering in FCP, but i can’t seem to get the right settings (at least not for supered graphics that have an alpha channel). i usually just put the Motion project in FCP (which yields horrendous render times), or i’ve also exported a targa image sequence from Motion, then imported them into their own sequence in FCP and then use that sequence in other sequences…but seems like a few too many steps.

  if there is a better way to export an alpha-ed Motion project i’m all ears! : )

  Er, a Quicktime movie using the Animation codec?

  it worked! even better when i chose “lossless + alpha”. i thought i had tried that before…but i guess not. thanks!
