  upgrade to FCP 2 ?

  Can someone tell me if the upgrades to Final Cut Pro 2 from Final Cut have become available?

  I have placed an order and have been told that it is not available until the start of June. (UK).

  Has it only been released in the US?

  Can anybody shed some light?

  Do you mean Final Cut Studio 2 because the current version of Final Cut Pro is Final Cut Pro 6. Final Cut Pro 2 has not been available for years.

  Yes, that’s what we have here. That’s the $699 (US) version of the upgrade. You can upgrade from any version of Final Cut Pro to Final Cut Studio 2 for this price.

  If you own a full retail (not upgraded) version of Final Cut Studio 1, then you can upgrade for $499 (US)

  Yes sory Final cut studio….. with motion 3….

  I rang the apple store again this afternoon and got to speek to someone who knew what they were talking about and had my upgrade in there hands….

  So quick rush down there and I am working with Motion 3 now… and love it.. although it did freeze on me the first time i used a 3d camera… but hasn’t for hours now….
