  the age old question i guess

  hello, bit of a novice so excuse my ignorance here. when working with graphics is it best to work in 16:9 anamorphic or change the pixel dimension? I say this because PAL is 720×576 when at 4:3 so this dimension obviously (?) isn’t going to be the same in 16:9. When i work in anamorphic and output to DVD i am often unhappy with the look of my graphics, and was wondering if it had anything to do the the square pixel problem (which i know little about!).

  I’d suggest some reading up- if you want to create 16:9 anamorphic DVDs you must design your graphics at 16:9 anamorphic. Which is no the same as 4:3 letterbox or 4:3, etc. This is a helpful primer:
