  footage is white

  im finishing up my pal project and everything seemed to be fine. but now when i scroll through the time line it does not show the footage it only shows white in my timeline. but when i play the footage in my time line it seems to play fine but then when i stop the footage it turns white again. why?? and then i tried to make a quicktime movie out of it and all the fades and dissolves showed up white! why??

  You most likely accidentally toggled the Alpha setting on. Go to View>Channels>RGB and you should have your footage back.
