  spaces as dots/periods??

  i’ve made several pages of graphics with words and numbers, and where i have used the space bar to spread the distance between words, those spaces are showing up as “dots” or “periods”. any reason why this would be so?

  Are they visible when you render out to a QT file?

  What hardware do you have in your system?

  yes, and today the dots are even showing up in Motion…though they weren’t yesterday.

  hardware? i have a DeckLink SP card on a G5

  hmmm. i knew trashing FCP prefs could be helpful….but i guess so is trashing Motion prefs! trashed them and all erroneous dots have disappeared!
