  Motion Projects in FCP forces FCP to Quit

  Hi,

  My new FCP Studio System was working well and as expected until I upgraded the system via software update.

  Now, when Motion projects are in the timeline AND the timeline marker is over the .motn clip FCP just quits. This happens every time. I’ve deleted FCP and Motion from the Apps folder and then installed FCP Studio from my original CD’s. This did not solve the problem. My workaround is to place Motion in the Trash while I remove the motion clips in the timeline and then render the motion projects within Motion then importing them as standard quicktime files.

  I’d apprediate any pointers!

  Try disabling the Decklink video desktop in your system preferences. I had a problem with FCP quitting unexpectedly until I turned this off.
