  • Finding A Frame In A Image Sequence?

Posted by Martin Reuben on February 13, 2006 at 10:17 pm

I have a 1425 frame image sequence imported into Motion. I need to identify several of the still frames in this sequence in order to do some additional effects on those frames. Is there any easy way to positively identify a single frame in a sequence when you click on it on the time line?

A quick & dirty way would be to toggle the image sequence button off which would then show every frame in the browser.

Blow the size up so you get a large frame then scroll through until you hit the frame you need.

Make note of the numer/s and then go down the timeline to that frame.

Having said that there is probably an easier way;)

Its on the bottom of the browser, looks like a lot of cards stacked up in 3D

Toggle that and it will switch from showing all the frames to one just file.

Go into preferences, click on the Appearance icon. Change the Timebar Display popup to “Filmstrip”. Now, if you zoom into the timeline, you should see a thumbnail for all frames in your image sequence.
