  • RSS Visualizer – Appropriate Program?

Posted by Rommel Cinco on December 4, 2005 at 6:56 am

I want to recreate the animations (for lack of a better term) that is shown in the RSS Visualizer located in System Preferences/Desktop & Screensaver/Screensaver/Screensavers/RSS Visualizer in OS X 10.4.3.

Is Motion the program that I would use to recreate this? If not, what program would I use?

My end goal is to use it in a multimedia presentation (one specific application would be in a Keynote presentation)? If so, how would I do it (a tutorial or a point in the right direction would be appreciated).

    Thanks in advance.

Sure Motion 2 with the 3D filter would be a good start. Also After FX would be capable of more elaborate 3d or Shake.

You might also consider using Quartz Composer to create it (the same app that people use to create screensavers, etc.)

It comes with the xCode developer software which can be downloaded for free from the Apple Developer Connection website.

It’s a cool app that’s a lot of fun to play with.
