  let me explain

  i tried to archive search this cause it seems to easy…
  but i guess i’m not asking it correctly…

  i have a sequence that i started in fcp 4.5
  then i exported to motion…
  did what i had to do…

  here’s the problem

  on one of the elements i put a gold outer glow and a shadow…
  but when i bring it into final cut it’s just a big black blob ?

  and when i render it out as a quicktime it works fine !

  any reason for this…is there a simple button i can push to make it work ?

  Not sure but exporting to QT would be my suggestion. I’ve always found the round tripping to be a bit unpredictable.

  yes roundtriping has been very bad for me

  last month i was working on a project and when i went from motion back to fcp…my files were lost…not just lost but they had myseriously vanished from my hard drive !

  i’m very scared now to work with such a nice feature.

  It does work well when you’re very careful but personally I’ve never found it useful due to the quirks.
