I created a 90-min video in FCP, with some nice animated Motion gfx (a lower 3rd Motion template). Problem: Most of the Motions look good, except that 2-3 do a very strange thing. They animate onto the screen properly, but right before they go out, another prepared Motion graphic suddenly appears. This only occurs on 2-3 of the Motion effects. Looked at the affected Motion effects by themselves in the FCP viewer, looks fine. Anyone ever heard of such a thing? Help!

Sounds like a caching issue. Have you tried exporting the problem clips and seeing if they are rendered?

Thanks Jim. That makes sense. Are you recommending the Motion clips be rendered first before exporting to FCP? I thought you could export Motion project file(s) into Final Cut Pro unrendered and view them as single source clip(s).

You can import a motion project file as you would a QuickTime file, but it can degrade FCP’s RT performance. As always, it depends on what you are doing.
