  Motion and DVC PRO HD FCP projects

  Hi everyone,

  I’ve been working on a small and simple motion project, opened from a FCP 5.0 DVCPRO HD sequence and I’m appalled with how slow it’s behaving.
  I don’t know if it’s because I’m trying to keep an alpha channel so I can layer that on top of some footage on FCP… But it’s taking me 30 mins to render a 5 sec segment! I basically have one video layer, and two other ones with solids: a logo and a solid color with a square mask as the logo’s bkgd and a basic 3D filter applied to it.

  I’m working on a 2.7 G5 with 4.5gig of RAM.

  Also, what’s the easiest way, once I “send to” motion a segment of my sequence, to include and extra clip from that sequence into this recently created motion project? I can’t copy it from FCP and paste it in Motion, can I?
