Hi im rendering my scenes out with an alpha channel in cinema 4d – i imported one into motion and it automaticaly detected the alpha and i had my transparant bg… great

i then did the seccond scene and for some reason motion wont recognise the in built alpha????? – ive rendered out a seperate tiff sequence containing just the alpha channel – anyone kknow how to apply this to the video – so i can see the layers behind?????

“i then did the seccond scene and for some reason motion wont recognise the in built alpha”

If Motion didn’t interpret the alpha type, you can manually set the alpha type in the Inspector’s Media tab.

(Select the object in the Layer’s list, control+click it to get the contextual menu and select Reveal Source Media to bring up the Media tab.)
