Where to buy a 9800?
Looking to upgrade our G4 Dual 1G system to be able to run Motion 2. I understand that we will need the Radeon 9800 Pro Mac edition. Anyone know of a good, inexpensive place to purchase one? I can find the PC or G5 versions for under $200 but the G4 version is around $240. Do not understand why this card is more expensive than the better version. Only place i can find a cheaper is on ebay and I just don’t feel comfortable with purchases from there. Thanks for the information. Have a great day.

That’s about right for a price- very much a speciality card. I’d suggest MacMall for this sort of thing.

ecost shows it for $211.94 and mentions a $50 rebate. (Price after rebate =$161.94)

Thanks. They do not have one in stock and will take 3-4 weeks to get one, IF ATI still has any.
