    Hey everyone,

I’m doing a 3 minute animation of a talking courier bag and I’m doing it in Motion. I have two audio tracks, one VO and one music. I have the music volume turned down a bit and the VO volume up a bit. When I scrub the timeline, they both scrub at their full volume, which causes the music to get too loud and I can’t hear the VO.

I know I can mute the music, etc., but I was just wondering if there was an option that I can’t find to have it scrub at the volume it’s actually set at versus it’s native volume?

    Motion 2
    OS X 10.4.1

    Thanks!

I’d highly recommend mixing your audio down *before* bringing it into Motion. This is a motion graphics program so audio is a very, very low priority. Kinda like After Effects- which in its default settings doesn’t even export the comp with audio.

Yeah, I know. However, want to raise and lower the volume of the music at certain points of my animation.

This isn’t a huge deal. I just muted the music. I’m animating to the VO, as usual. Thanks, though.

I actually have done an entire 3-minute production with Motion 1 and I had no problems with the audio. What I may do now is use Soundtrack Pro to do the music after animating to the VO. I have to learn it first! 🙂
