  Need some suggestions on making a “3d” cloud effect.

  Can anyone suggest some tutorials that might be useful to help learn how to make a sweeping cloud that comes out of the sky and sweeps over the scene? Since the camera will be panning as well, the cloud would have to be manipulated in that regard also.

  If you have access to Trapcode Particular, then a tutorial like Green Smoke might be very helpful.

  3d clouds AFTER EFFECTS tutorial- the basics

  You might be able to pull it off with CC Particle World too, as it allows for custom particles, but it doesn’t offer the flexibility of Particular.
