    Hi there,

I know the question of “how do I make my voice sound darker” comes up a lot. This is *slightly* different – I am not necessarily going for a natural sound, but something more… like the pinhead at the 19-20 second mark of the Matrix Revolutions trailer:

I don’t believe anyone has a natural speaking voice that sounds quite like it does when it says “Speak!” in this instance. 🙂

Of course you can pull the pitch down, and compensate for the speed change, and you sound like Satan or something. However, I believe they must have done a more layered approach in this instance to get the “richness” of the voice in the deeper frequencies.

This is just for a podcast jingle, doesn’t have to be perfect. Any ideas how to go ahead and do this?

I’ve got Creative Cloud CC, RX 5 Advanced and the Fabfilter Pro bundle (Pro-Q2, Pro-C, Pro-MB, Pro-DS, Pro-G, Pro-L) for what it is worth, plus a decent mic (Røde NT2-A) and a recording space where I can make ok recordings.

    Any suggestions? Thanks!
