recording different things on different tracks in Audition 1.5
Hi. I’m using Audition 1.5 and wanting to record separate drumming parts to different tracks. I’d like to listen to the recording of one part on one track with headphones as I record another part on the next track – so it’s all in sync. Seems simple enough, but when I record one part through a line in from a mic input on my laptop, and then I disarm the recording function on that track and ‘arm’ the track under it to record a different part, it ‘copies’ the part I just recorded on the track above it.
What am I doing wrong?
Secondary issue – tried using the metronome as a click track, but it records it! I saw another post about this but am uncertain what a solution would be. Any help on the ‘copying’ issue great appreciated.
