    Hi all,

I’m trying to figure out a good db level to master the audio all of my company’s video to. We make videos for multiple purposes; to be watched as part of flash based courseware and watched on tv’s/projectors etc. I use avid and adobe suite (soon to be adopting pro tools for more controlled audio mixing).

I’ve been mastering audio levels using the loudness maximiser on the mastering tool in adobe soundbooth. I’ve been aiming to get the levels as close to 0db as possible, but I’m concerned that it might be too loud for certain viewing/listening situations.

What db level would you suggest mastering audio to?

    Thanks,

    Jon.
