    Hey gang…

We are having trouble getting SoundBooth to launch.

This is in a brand-new machine that came already loaded. We’ve had it about a week and it’s working well otherwise, today was just the first time anyone tried to use SoundBooth.

Upon attempting to start the program the launch box will open, begin scrolling through some of the things that it does as it normally loads… and then just suddenly stops and the launch window vanishes as quickly as it came.

This is in a brand-new NLE, a turn-key system built on a Windows Vista 64-bit machine… Matrox AXIO LE and running Adobe CS4. Intel Core i7-940 2.93Ghz processor and 12 gigs of RAM.

We can call tech support about this, but I’d rather save them for bigger issues if this just happens to be a quick and easy fix that others have encountered.

    Thanks all, wisdom appreciated…

On an Adobe forum it was suggested to try holding down the shift key while launching… and this actually DOES allow the program to successfully launch on our machine.

The question remains though, what, why, and how to fix it….

    Wisdom still appreciated…

I’d watch out for updates, do any other CS4 apps have bugs?

Can only answer that by saying, not that we have found

Yes, Steven… we have found another CS4 issue… not sure if it’s an official “bug” or not….

If a Premiere squence is closed, we are unable to re-open it on the timeline. And if projects are closed (changing to another project) or Premiere is closed completely, when re-opening a project only the last “active” sequence is available, and other sequences in the same project can’t be re-opened.
