  After Effects error: file cannot be imported -this ‘MooV’ file is damaged or unsupported

  After Effects error: file cannot be imported -this ‘MooV’ file is damaged or unsupported.
  This error message is popping up when I import a file. I have been working on this project for months and everything has been fine and now when I open the AE file none of these video files from Final cut will work.
  They are all Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ). They worked and then stopped and I restarted and then it worked again and now its back to not working. H.264 works in there but I need a higher quality file.
  Any suggestions what might be the problem?

  Make sure you have the latest version of Quicktime. Update your version and it may solve the problem.
