Boomy Audio (mic too far away)
Please help me!
I’m stuck editing a piece for a corporate where the guy who shot it had the mic way too far from the subject .. the result is low level and very reverby, I can crank up the audio but its still “boomy” .. I guess its a regular issue and am surprised that there’s nothing in the preset restoration section …. any ideas?Thanks in advance

I think before someone is allowed to go out and film that they should know at least some basic information about audio, most importantly what can and what can’t be fixed in post … This my friend is one that really can’t be fixed in post … You can bring the volume up but along with it comes all the junk … I have had some limited success but it is always at trade off with the audio suffering, (takes the dynamic out of it leaving it sounding very flat) … You could email me a minute or so and I can see if there is any hope, but my experience tells me to not hold your breath … E-mail to loganonestudio@aol.com if you would like me to try … Good luck ……… WILLIE
