  Audio discrepancies

  A director brought me an interview to edit. On the tape the Host and guest channels are mixed and to add insult the difference in levels is huge. The host can hardly be heard. If they were on separate channels I would have just boosted the host’s levels. But as they are mixed what can I do?

  Dave,

  As long as the host voice isn’t over the guest you can highlight and boost … If they are talking at the same time you have a problem ….. WILLIE
