Is there a compelling reason to own a software that specializes in noise reduction like Sound Soap Pro? Are there things it can do that Audition can’t?

    Much obliged for any thoughts?

You have to find someone who regularly uses both to get a fully informed opinion. Remember that Audition 1.5 onwards allows you to use its restoration tools in Frequency Space Editing mode (Spectral view) which adds another whole dimension to what is possible. Given its cost I would hope that SSP would do a pretty good job, though!

Yeah,I’m hoping there’s someone out there who familiar enough with both. I can’t seem to find the “definitive” answer on this. I have Audition 2, but I don’t knowif it covers everything that SSP covers.
    I appreciate the response.
