  • Why are the noise reduction options greyed out??

I have tried repeatedly to select a section of a video with background fan noise and use the noise reduction tool to analyze and eliminate it. However, after I select the section, all the noise reduction options are greyed out and I can select any of them. Any ideas?

    Don,

First how much of the clip are you highlighting, if it’s too small it will be grayed out? For it to work properly you need to highligh an area that is just the fan noise and then take it out a little at a time otherwise you will get digitizing and it will sound really ugly … If you still have a problem it may be an install issue …… WILLIE

Thanks, yeah, maybe it wasn’t a long enough section. Hard to get “just fan noise” and have any real length to it. I’ll try again.

    Don,

Try zooming in on the section, that sometimes helps …….. WILLIE
