  Ross Shain – Mocha Question

  Hi Ross. I am doing my yearly refresher course on using Mocha since I dont get a lot of opportunity to use it.

  I purchased the Fundamentals of Mocha from Curious Turtle. In going thru the tutorials. Ben many times will go to the Dope Sheet screen to delete tracking keyframes. I realize he is using Mocha Pro V3 and with AE CS6, users only get Mocha for AE V2. How can I do the same function of clearing out the tracking keyframes with the Mocha for AE version I am using?

  Hi Tom, until Ross gets here, here’s my take on your Q.

  First off, the reason Ben deletes certain KFs is because he wants to re-use the same layer to initiate a new track with different Motion parameters. His intention is to show the different results available from using different Motion parameters.

  In the realworld, one wouldn’t really need to delete the KFs. You would simply create a new layer with a new tracking spline.

  I believe that the Dope Sheet is available in V3 of both mochaPro and mochaAE – sorry, I only have mochaPro on my rig to check with.

  Thanks Roland. I did some digging around and found buried in the Curves tab all the parameters and the keyframes as well. I understood why Ben was doing it. I just wanted to replicate the process with my version of the software, which is possible, as it turns out.

  Yup! The Curves Editor seems to have been renamed to Dope Sheet in V3.
