  IMAG telephoto lens question

  How much magnification will I need to get a headshot at 150 feet with a Panasonic HDX900 camera? 18x? 20x? 40x?

  Yes, usually a longer lens is always better, and I never like to use a 2 x extender due to light loss.

  Is there an article or a chart that can simply state show how tight a cam op can frame a subject with any given lens magnification?

  Past 100′ I would go with an 87x box lens.
