  Smile Cam

  I have been tasked to come up with a way to do a smile cam at a live event a live action board game. When a player lands on a specific square, the camera zooms in on their face, there is video of a shutter and then an instagram banner overlay and we get a snapshot of the contestant. I dont have freeze frame on my switcher. Is there a way to do this easily? tethered dslr? APP?

  Many less expensive prosumer HD camcorders have a gimmick still effect like this built-in, you could have the camera op trip it, then you just need adaptors to get the HDMI or other connector to match your system.
