Panasonic switcher AW-HS50 alternative
Posted by Vasik Greif on July 9, 2010 at 10:17 amHi, is there any better alternative to AW-HS50 in price range aroun $4000? I need a switcher with 4 FullHD inputs and this is the only one I found for this money… Thanks

July 9, 2010 at 2:02 pmI think Edirol makes the cheapest HD switchers but they are still a couple of thousand dollars out of your budget I’m afraid. If you can raise the money, I own an HS-400 and I certainly would recommend it. Just hook it up to an HD monitor and you’re up and running.

July 9, 2010 at 2:11 pmThanks, 10k is too much for me at the moment. If I’m looking correctly, the HS50 has 4 HD inputs and multiviewer support, so it could be enough for what I need, right?

July 9, 2010 at 2:19 pmI was not up to speed on the 50. I thought you meant 450. Thats a neat little switcher and it looks like it will fit the bill. The Edirol runs around $6k so this is certainly the cheapest of the hd switchers.

July 23, 2010 at 6:11 pmI haven’t seen anything else even close for that combination of features and price tag. I have one on order and maybe it will come over on the ship from Japan early next month (?)
