    Hi All,

Just setting up for Blu-ray playback in our Auditorium and I would like to use the shutter feature on our Christie projector to ensure clean starts to my presentations. Does anybody know if there is a monitor through which I could loop the HDMI signal, monitor the video until we reach a clean in point, e.g. past the menu/warnings, etc and then and only then open the Christie’s shutter for a clean start to the presentation.

    Thanks,

    Marc

P.S. Selecting HDMI out on the Blu-ray player shuts off the other outputs so that’s a no go.

Rather than looping through a monitor, how about an HDMI splitter? Gefen makes one.

It passes EDID from the primary display back to the source. Both of your displays must be capable of the same resolution and refresh rate.

Thank you for your suggestion, I will definitely look into the Gefen splitter.
