  Out of memory when rendering

  Recently I have been getting the message “After Effects: Out of memory. (1620k requested) (23::40)” when rendering even the most simple comps. It was fine until a few days ago. Just started suddenly with no reason. Running on a HP xw 8200 with 2 gigs of ram.
  Any ideas what could be causing this anyone?

  No idea, but you can have AE flush the memory during rendering using the Secret (or Shecret) preference.
