  High School News Setup

  Hi. Ive been in independent production for quite a while and just decided to get into teaching High School. Working on developing a news type studio, have some ideas, but looking for suggestions.

  Anybody have tips? Im trying to integrate a Mac into the live mix to output lower thirds and opens, hoping to be able to use a chroma key somewhere in the switcher. 3 or 4 camera feeds… audio on a separate switcher using iTunes to keep the sound all together.

  What mixer are you using ? What are coming out of the MAC in VGA or video?

  Videonics MX PRO DV. Coming out of the tower via video.

  Two biggest issues are that the mixer only has four inputs, and I would like more, AND a Keyer. Need a good suggestion on the Keyer – I have no experience with live blue screen action.
