Mixing / Live Event Software
I have two projects that are similar, but i haven’t really found the right software for
1) Just a simple live event mixer, where i can load up mp3s, avis, etc… and control the video/audio out. The difference between this and just using a playlist for Media Player Classic, is that i really want something that can do previews, cueing of video/audio if needbe, possible controlling of multiple monitors, so that all the clips start in the right spot, and that there is no silence going from audio to audio or video tracks. Also i would like to control multiple monitors directly, instead of making a big windows display that covers all the monitors.
2) The same as #1, but adding sources from live feeds. and feeding the program out to a streaming server.
For #2 it might be covered with newtek’s VT4 line, but that’s a big high end for #1, and i was hoping that there was something similar to AE/Premiere that was designed for this without hooking to specific hardware. I used a couple shareware/random programs but they seemed buggy and not what i was looking for. Thans

It sounds like you should maybe look at some of the good VJ applications, which are made to do exactly as you describe, yet be accessible to an affordable level of economy.
One of the best is Arkaos (www.arkaos.net)
Also, check through the program and hardware listings on http://www.vjcentral.com
