  DVI – HDMI question

  If I have a laptop playing a fullscreen movie (qt or wmv), can I go from its DVI port to the HDMI port on a Sanyo PLV-Z3 (HD LCD projector) and maintain the 1280 x 1024 resolution? I’ve read that there are DVI to HDMI cables – will the video export properly through this?
