After Effects Templates?

Does anyone here use After Effects templates for client work?

I’d rather create everything myself, but as you all know, there is this little thing called time.

What are some of your favorite resources for templates? I’ve recently come across this site, but I am reluctant to sign up because its a membership. The price is tempting. Anyone ever used them?

I’ve also found Revostock, but there prices seem a little high for my budgets.

I have used templates a few times, when the Time & Budget equation did not permit the creation of custom designed element. I did not use the exact template, but rather elements to create my own final product. There are quite a few decent free templates out there for simple projects. Here’s one site I used:

motionvfx is pretty good. Prices are reasonable.

Seriously! If you cannot make any money from using a template then you are not doing things right. IOW, take a look at your pricing!

Templates are like design without communication 🙂

Having said that at times they sure can come in handy. aftereffectsvideos.com has a bundle with some nice templates. I think its $25 for 25 templates so it’s a pretty good deal.

Obviously it’s better to make something fitted for the client 😉
