  sry, just starting out with after fx 6, and i’ve never used any previous version. i can’t find trapcode: 3D stroke or shine anywhere in the effects menu. plz help?

  The Trapcode plug-ins are not included with After Effects. They must be purchased separately. They can be found at http://www.trapcode.com

  I second Mr. Lindeboom’s assesment. In the world of plug-ins Trapcode is extraordinarily inexpensive, especially considering how useful those plugins are.

  But please, don’t overuse Shine. It’s SO pretty you could easily go overboard.
