  AE Swirl Effect question

  Hello,

  I`ve been working in AE to apply the “Swirl” effect on a keyframed mask, but by default the effect is animated in spiral and does not properly track with the mask. Is there any way to apply this effect, that would disable the Swirl animation and allow it to stay in the center of the mask at all times?

  I’m not totally sure what you’re trying to do but maybe try pre-comping the layer with the animated mask and then applying the swirl effect to the pre-comp instead of the layer itself.
